- UAM researcher Ana Cueto has received an ERC Starting Grant for her Plusphoton project, which will explore new Higgs boson production modes.
Ana Cueto, a researcher from the Department of Theoretical Physics at UAM, has obtained a prestigious Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) to develop the Plusphoton project: ‘Turn the extra light on: enhancing the discovery potential of Higgs production in association with a photon’.
This time around, 478 researchers from 51 different countries were chosen to receive one of these grants, totalling €761 million. Forty-two per cent of the winning proposals are led by women.
Cueto’s team will analyse data collected by the ATLAS particle detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research).
