Boundaries, Crosscaps and Simple Currents

Recently the complete set of crosscap and boundary coefficients (relevant, for example, for open string theory) was obtained for any simple current invariant of any rational conformal field theory. This result will be explained, although most of the talk will consist of an introduction to the basic concepts.
