Golden Measurements at a Neutrino Factory

I will review the basic properties that make a Neutrino Factory such a powerful tool for precision measurements of the leptonic CKM elements. Moreover, I will show how it can be used to extract the sign of the atmospheric mass difference, $\Delta m_{23}^2$, and finally its discovery potential of CP-violation in the leptonic sector, if any. I will present results depending on the distance between detector and neutrino source, wherefrom an optimal baseline turns out to be of ${\cal O} (3000)$ km. Nicely enough, for a NuFact placed at CERN this is roughly the distance CERN - Canary Islands ...
