Stability and BPS branes

We present a criterion for stability of BPS branes at generic points in moduli space of string theory compactifications with N=2 supersymmetry in four dimensions. We illustrate these ideas by describing the spectrum and lines of marginal stability on a specific Calabi Yau manifold.
