Higher Spin Gauge Theory in Euclidean Space: A Renormalizable Model

Emidio Gabrielli

U.A.M.

We propose in Euclidean space an extension of the standard Yang-Mills gauge theories where the gauge multiplet contains scalar, vector and tensor gauge fields (with maximum spin-2). This theory is renormalizable (at least) by power counting. We analyse some quantum aspects and various generalizations of the pure gauge theory: in particular its supersymmetric extension is proposed. In addition we present the most general action where the the extended gauge symmetry is unified with the standard internal gauge symmetries.

The almuerzo-seminario is intended to be an informal seminar and an open forum for discussion.

You are wellcome to bring your own bocata (sandwich), or coffee or tea.

Where: Modulo C-XVI, 3rd floor, Facultad de Ciencias U.A.M., C.U. Cantoblanco, 28049-Madrid
