Extra Dimensions, Electroweak Symmetry Breaking and Gauge Unification

The implications of the existence of large extra dimensions are analyzed in the contest of a Sherck-Schwarz mechanism for supersymmetry breaking. This breaking can induce EWSB and a certain pattern for soft parameters. Also gauge coupling unification is studied and electroweak precision measurements are better acomodated than in the MSSM.

The almuerzo-seminario is intended to be an informal seminar and an open forum for discussion.
