A Dual Formulation of Branes via Target Space Field Theory

Some field theories in the target/space induce the splitting of the space/time into a continuous of branes, which can be p-branes or D-branes depending on what the field theory it is. The coupling with the electromagnetic p+1-form exhibits a classical electric-magnetic duality.The symmetry underlying the construction allows the exchange between the target-space and world-volume degrees of freedom.

The almuerzo-seminario is intended to be an informal seminar and an open forum for discussion.
