Almuerzo-Seminario

(Lunch seminar)

May 12th, 1:00 p.m.

Finite Temperature Matrix Theory

Jesús Puente Peñalba

Universidad de Oviedo

Matrix Model is presumed to be the most general formulation of M-theory, which includes all known theories that describe quantum gravity. I shall talk about some thermodynamical calculations that tell us how the behaviour of certain physical systems at high temperatures should be according to this theory. The different approaches that can be taken will give us information of several aspects of the theory as well as a clarification of their relation.

The almuerzo-seminario is intended to be an informal seminar and an open forum for discussion.

You are wellcome to bring your own bocata (sandwich), or coffee or tea.

Where: Modulo C-XVI, 3rd floor, Facultad de Ciencias U.A.M., C.U. Cantoblanco, 28049-Madrid
