Aunque constituye aproximadamente el 27% del universo, su naturaleza sigue siendo elusiva. Exploraremos c\u00f3mo los f\u00edsicos est\u00e1n utilizando el Gran Colisionador de Hadrones (LHC) para intentar crear y detectar part\u00edculas de materia oscura en condiciones controladas de laboratorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A las 19:30h.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Agujeros negros primordiales, \u00bfla materia oscura del universo?<\/strong>,<\/em>&nbsp;por Juan Garc\u00eda-Bellido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El cosm\u00f3logo, investigador en el IFT y miembro de prestigiosas colaboraciones internacionales, lidera trabajos punteros en agujeros negros primordiales, aquellos que pudieron formarse en un universo muy joven y que podr\u00edan explicar misterios como el de la materia oscura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>14 de noviembre<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A las 18:00h.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Buscando agujas en un pajar cu\u00e1ntico: \u2018Machine Learning en el LHC\u2019<\/em><\/strong><em>,<\/em>&nbsp;por Rosa Mar\u00eda Sand\u00e1, investigadora en el IFT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En esta charla, Rosa Sand\u00e1 Seoane explora c\u00f3mo el aprendizaje autom\u00e1tico (machine learning) ha transformado nuestra capacidad para detectar y estudiar part\u00edculas subat\u00f3micas en el LHC, permitiendo extraer informaci\u00f3n valiosa de un volumen masivo de datos y mejorar la precisi\u00f3n de los experimentos. Mediante el an\u00e1lisis de billones de colisiones subat\u00f3micas, el LHC se embarca en la misi\u00f3n de desentra\u00f1ar los misterios de la f\u00edsica fundamental. En este vasto oc\u00e9ano de datos, la inteligencia artificial se erige como la mejor aliada para identificar se\u00f1ales de part\u00edculas esquivas, como el bos\u00f3n de Higgs, y explorar las profundidades del universo cu\u00e1ntico. Las part\u00edculas entrelazadas parecen compartir informaci\u00f3n instant\u00e1neamente, sin importar la distancia que las separa, un fen\u00f3meno que desaf\u00eda nuestra comprensi\u00f3n desde que Einstein, Podolsky y Rosen propusieran su famosa paradoja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>15 de noviembre<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A las 18:00h.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Teor\u00eda de Cuerdas en la Frontera del Conocimiento<\/em><\/strong>, por Irene Valenzuela, investigadora del IFT\/CERN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La destacada f\u00edsica te\u00f3rica es actualmente miembro de la divisi\u00f3n te\u00f3rica del CERN (Laboratorio Europeo de F\u00edsica de Part\u00edculas) y del IFT. Valenzuela ha realizado contribuciones significativas en los campos de la f\u00edsica de altas energ\u00edas y la teor\u00eda de cuerdas. En conmemoraci\u00f3n del 70 aniversario del CERN, uno de los principales centros de investigaci\u00f3n en f\u00edsica de part\u00edculas del mundo, en esta charla, exploramos la frontera de nuestra comprensi\u00f3n del universo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un ciclo de charlas legendario<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Con m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada de trayectoria, el ciclo de charlas de f\u00edsica fundamental del IFT y la Residencia es ya una instituci\u00f3n en divulgaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. Cada a\u00f1o, el ciclo re\u00fane a decenas de personas en el auditorio del hist\u00f3rico edificio de la Colina de los Chopos.
